Ryan is the recipient of a Humboldt Research Award. This award was funded by the Global Minds Initiative Germany where the German federal government provides “the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation with additional funding to offer international stars and talents a perspective in the German science system and to reinforce international research collaborations.

The award allows Ryan to continue to develop our group’s collaborations with German researchers. This builds on his time at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MP-SPI) in Summer 2025. He will spend Summer 2026 in Berlin as a visiting researcher at TU Berlin and also spend time at MP-SPI.
