Other versions may not provide full functionality.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xilinx.com\/html_docs\/xilinx2021_1\/vitis_doc\/acceleration_installation.html\">Installation instructions<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>License Settings&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the program \u201cManage Xilinx Licenses\u201d<\/li><li>Open Vivado 2019.1 -&gt; Manage Xilinx License<\/li><li>Open Manage Xilinx License Search Paths<\/li><li>Set the XILINXD_LICENSE_FILE to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:2100%40cselm2.ucsd.edu\">2100@cselm2.ucsd.edu<\/a><\/li><li>The license will only work if you are using the UCSD network. One can use VPN off-campus to access the license server.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-86f76459-22ed-4235-bd1d-c271944999ac\"><li>Installation takes a long time and requires a lot of free space.<\/li><li>I had some issues when installing in Ubuntu with the last step not finishing (very frustrating). It was very likely due to a library issue, so I would make sure that is installed (<a href=\"https:\/\/forums.xilinx.com\/t5\/Installation-and-Licensing\/Installing-Vivado-2018-3-on-Fedora-28\/m-p\/940296#M25046\">see post<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/support.xilinx.com\/s\/question\/0D52E00006hpmTmSAI\/vivado-20183-final-processing-hangs-at-generating-installed-device-list-on-ubuntu-1904?language=en_US\">this post<\/a>).<\/li><li>It is not clear to me that one needs the license server anymore. Everything seems to work for me in Ubuntu and I didn&#8217;t set the license file. <\/li><li>Some visualization features do not seem to work in Windows 10 (Control Flow, Function Call Graph, etc.). A smaller subset of those features did not work on Ubuntu 21.04 (which is not Xilinx supported). I got them all to work on Ubuntu 20.04 (which is Xilinx supported).<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steps for installing and running the Xilinx software on your own machine.
